Wood Siding
Wood siding is
a beautiful and natural way to finish your building. As with any
type of wood siding, regular maintenance (painting or staining)
every couple years will be required. A few of the different types of
popular wood sidings are detailed below:
Cedar Shakes – This more expensive wood style fits buildings
in natural settings. This is a classic New England siding type and
common throughout our area. As with any wood siding, maintenance to
keep the desired color will be required.
Pine or Cedar Shiplap Siding– Both vertical and horizontal
pine siding will give you a natural barn look. This material can be
left clear coated for the natural wood appearance or stained a
color.
T1-11 Siding – This is an attractive and economical siding
choice for your building. T1-11 is a type of siding that acts as
wall sheathing and finished siding all in one. This 5/8” thick
siding has grooves every 8” to give the look of vertical siding.
Vinyl Siding
Over the past
ten years vinyl siding has become increasing popular for new homes.
The big advantage to vinyl siding is it is totally maintenance free
and does not ever require painting or staining. With the modern more
detailed vinyl siding now available, sometimes it is even hard to
tell if it is wood or actually vinyl siding!

option. This siding type will give a fresh modern look to any
